For our Client – global IT leader – we are looking for candidates for the post of:
Business Analyst-Warsaw
Locations: Warsaw
Reports to: Head of Business Analysis
Employment Status: Permanent
Work Pattern: Monday to Friday, 40 hours
Responsible for
Acting as the pivot or intermediary between end-users and IT to ensure that business/user requirements are delivered in IT solutions.
Main Activities (80%)
▪ Elicitation and documentation of business requirements from external clients
▪ Meeting with users to gather and analyse end user requirements – availability for business trips is required (depending on projects, total 2-8 weeks a year)
▪ Transformation of business requirements into functional requirements
▪ Developing and maintenance of functional specification
▪ Preparing material and providing training / assistance to end-users following implementation
▪ Planning with PM analysis activities
Supplementary Activities (20%)
▪ Support of system test design and execution
▪ Input to Product Development team on short/long term possible system enhancements
Must have Skills:
▪ Sound ability to analyse, isolate and interpret business needs and develop appropriate technical solutions.
▪ Strong ability to converse with both end-users and IT employees at all levels of the organisation.
▪ Good understanding of all aspects of the systems/software development lifecycle.
▪ Practical knowledge in the area of modelling IT systems using UML notation
▪ Practical skills in using modelling tools – especially Enterprise Architect 9.x
▪ Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
▪ Excellent skills in usage of Microsoft Office
▪ Basis of HTML / CSS to prototype User Interface
▪ Basic SQL programming skills
▪ Basic knowledge of BPMN
Preferable skills:
▪ Knowledge in the area of capital markets (mutual funds, money market funds, hedge funds)
▪ Object Oriented Design/Programming
▪ Visual Basic programming (Microsoft Office)
▪ XML
Typical Experience
At least 3 – 5 years of experience in IT, with at least 2 years experience in a business
analysis coupled with tertiary level qualifications in Business, Science, Engineering or Economics.
